I learned how to knit as a young girl and have taught my daughter to knit, too. We both love the soothing nature of knitting and although we aren’t very experienced, we still really enjoy the craft. I’ve also read that knitting helps relax people and lower their blood pressure. I thought of that when I saw Basic Knitting and Crocheting for Today’s Woman and just looking through the book is pleasant and calming.
The book focuses on yoga and several of their projects are specifically related to yoga, like the yoga mat cover. There are also other ideas for the home, like the table runner or the baby blanket. I’ve started on the infinity scarf and I’m planning on taking my time with it, using it as an opportunity to meditate and just focus on the joy of creating something with my own hands.
